Chine Logs

Laminating the chine logs was a little more involved than the keel plank as the chine logs are curved in two planes. This required spiling or taking the shape off of the work already completed with a spiling batten.

Spiling

A 1 x 12 was bent around the mold frames and marks were made where the top and bottom of the chine log would cross the frames.
